Found this while walking in the Berkeley Marina. Took it into photoshop and did some debauchery to it.

Kiwi train

This beast was yellow. I jumped into Lab mode and did a Curves modification to shift it from yellow to lime.

Pop - art lives!

Yes, Pop Art lives on in me and you. Can't get enough of it. Guess that's why we want to live in a cartoon, and we should, darn it !!

Moon meets water

Try as I might, I couldn't hit the moon with a rock but I could snap a picture of it. Had some fun putting it against the water fakery i conjured up in P.S.

another ruin-a-pic event today for my poor mate, Mike the Painter. I'm just a sucker for fun-ly applying some effects in a blind manner to the nearest digital image, which just happened to be M.the P. Come what may, it was fun to just have no end result in mind, sort of like splashing paint on a wall and watch it run down with a little help from gravity. A note to you regimented mind sets, I thought purple and magenta got along just fine.

this was a harmless pic of me mate painting in his studio. Harmless?  Yes "harmless", until I had to go fuck it up with a displacement map and handful of other goodies in P.S.I'm not in a good mood today so I took me displeasure out on this.

Was walking 'round my neighborhood before the sun got too harsh and found some picturesque subjects that caught my eye. Trouble was, I didn't have me camera on me so I came back later on. Sun wasn't as good but I performed some photographic cpr with Camera Raw and brought some life into this charming corner of the world.

Another grandiose day in California

 

I went over the hills and through the woods but didn't make it to Grandma's house. Didn't see Robin Hood either. I did, however, see some nice streams and what not. Give me a yard with a running stream and I'll have all the riches in the world. Speaking of rich, the woods were rich with the aroma of redwoods. Would love to bring a bottle of that home. It all inspired me to enjoy a picture taking afternoon.

Stream and sun

Caught this while walking through the woods of Mount Clair. (of course i can't remember the trail but I could find it again, even blind folded.). I took 84 pix that day for  my digital photography class assignment. The most fun I had was applying a slow shutter speed to blur the water motion of the stream. "Oh, so that's how that cool effect is made..." I said to myself as a little light went off in my head.
Ok, I went a little overboard with sharpening but I'm always torn between adding detail and noise vs soft focus. This time the detail / noise team won the debate.
